The locker room doesn't have to be a scary place....
Locker Room Procedure
The locker room can be a safe and fun place or a place you dread coming to every time you have HPWB class. It is everyone's responsibility to act in an appropriate and safe manner while in the locker room. Remember, you will be in a vulnerable position while changing and showering. Everyone has a right to their personal space and privacy.
- Bring your clothes and towel for class everyday. Loaners are for emergencies! You are not going for the title "Loaner Boy" or "Loaner Girl" of the Year. This is not something to strive for or be proud of.
- If you choose not to bring your clothes, you will earn a lower scholarship and citizenship grade.
- Absolutely no cell phones, cameras, or any other electronic devices in the locker room. Remember, your cell phone should be turned off and stored in your backpack during school hours.
- Line up in two single file lines behind the yellow line in front of the locker room doors and keep your hands to yourself. Horseplay is unsafe behavior and will not be tolerated.
- Always walk into and out of the locker room.
When suiting up for class:
-Be respectful of each others privacy and space
-After you are done changing, make sure you locked your locker before you leave.
-Use the restroom and get a drink of water before you go to the amphitheatre.
-Sit in your teachers assigned area in the amphitheatre.
- When showering at the end of the period:
-Place all personal items in your locker except your towel, shampoo, and soap and make sure you lock your locker.
-Wait patiently in a single file line with your towel resting on your shoulder.
-While showering, be sure to thoroughly clean your armpits, genital area, buttocks region, and feet. Those are the main culprits of body odor.
-After showering, speak loudly and clearly when giving your shower number to the teacher.
-Once showered, and dressed, make sure your locker is locked and report to the amphitheatre and remain seated.
- Remember to hydrate yourself (drink a lot of water). You may bring your own clear water bottle to class with you.
